SMASHING PILLARS... RAISING SONS

Remember Why You Started the Journey!

Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; the rain also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion. Psalm 84:5-7 NKJV

As I stood before the Lord this morning, my heart became burdened for you. Yes, I am writing to you reading this post. I stood before the Lord this morning and became burdened with the many obstacles, betrayals, attacks, and setbacks you have experienced since you first met Yeshua and answered His call to come. Let me encourage you to keep your eyes on the prize, the call to join Him in Zion, and let no other thing in this life become a distraction. There are things in this life we pursue – marriage, career, business, and even ministry. These are all things in life God provides for us and blesses, but they must never become the foundation of our relationship with the Lord or the reason why we serve Him. If your relationship with the Lord is based on marriage, career, business, ministry, etc. and then they fail, what will become of your relationship with the Lord? How will it be affected? Will you blame Him? Some might. Will you trust Him and continue to serve Him? Some might. Yeshua said, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33.

Whatever the case may be, remember your call is from God and that you are in this world but not of it. You are a pilgrim passing through on your way to a better place. Allow the Lord to heal you of any wounds, discouragements, betrayals, and attacks you have been the target of and leave them behind you. Let Paul’s words be an example and encouragement to you. Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14.

In other words, let it go already. Stop reliving it. Stop talking about it and give it to the Lord. If you have truly given it to the Lord then do not resurrect it again with words of life that come from your breath. Then your healing will come when the tears stop flowing. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5.

A new day has dawned for you. Until now you have not known it, but as you allow the Lord to show you the beauty He has prepared for you to replace the ashes of what you thought was always and forever, then you will be revived. For then you will have your delight in the Almighty, and lift up your face to God. You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, and you will pay your vows. You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light (of a new day with dawn and) will shine on your ways. When they cast you down, and you say, 'Exaltation will come!' Then He will save the humble person. Job 22:26-29

Then your heart will be set on pilgrimage again and the strength of the Lord will be sufficiently perfected in you to provide the way of escape you so desperately seek from the Lord. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Co 12:8-10.

The very thing you may be asking the Lord to take away from you is the very thing He has provided to be the way of escape for you. Huh? What do I mean by this? It’s simple. No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13.

The way of escape you are seeking is through His grace and strength. Actually, the word ‘strength’ in 2 Corinthians 12:9 is the Greek word ‘dynamis’ and it means strength, power, ability; inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing exerts and puts forth; power for performing miracles; moral power and excellence of soul.

Are you getting it yet? It means the power of the Holy Ghost and His anointing to…..overcome…..all things! Remember, with God all things are possible? That’s why God would not take the thorn away from Paul’s flesh. Who cares what it was! It thorn is a thorn. Paul got the revelation that God had provided His grace (God’s nature infused in and through the believer) to perfect the anointing in his weaknesses to empower him to overcome. In other words, He will always lead you to victory. If you trust in Him and His strength, then His power will always rest upon you. He overcame, that in Him, you too would also overcome. But don’t just take my word for it. Take the following words from the Scriptures…and believe.

Then Jesus returned in the power ‘dynamis’ of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. ... Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, "What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out." Luke 4:14, 36

And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power ‘dynamis’ went out from Him and healed them all. Luke 6:19

But Jesus said, "Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power ‘dynamis’ going out from Me." Luke 8:46

"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power ‘dynamis’ of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

"But YOU shall receive power ‘dynamis’ when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Act 1:8

"how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power ‘dynamis’, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Act 10:38

Remember the verse I began this post with? Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. Be reacquainted with Him and He will set your heart on pilgrimage once again. Then you will know the Lord in ways you’ve not experienced until now…. but the people who know their God shall be strong (in His grace and strength), and carry out great exploits.

Pray as Samson prayed…. Then Samson called to the LORD, saying, "O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!" Judges 16:28

Father, forgive me for taking my eyes off the prize of Your high calling. Open my eyes and I shall see again. Restore to me the joy of my salvation and lead me not into temptation but deliver me today. Your grace is sufficient for me. Now, O God, let the power of Christ rest upon me once again. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Receive this blessing:

The Lord bless you and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.

Please this post.

Best,

Samuel
