Be Mindful Of Your Words They Are Setting Your Course For The Year

Shalom Mighty Pillars,

I’m putting this video out to help those of you who may be struggling with the words that are coming out of your mouth. If you are struggling to stay positive because of family drama, or challenges in your career, business, or ministry, and the list are endless with the current political and spiritual condition of our country and the world. It’s easy to be influenced by all the negative things we see and hear in the news and television shows.

If you’re not maintaining a prayer life and reading the word of God then guess what? That’s not what’s going to come out of you when you are under pressure because you are not getting it in you. You can be sure of this. Whatever you are full of is going to come out when you are under pressure. This can bring blessing or cursing.

Mathew 21:18-22 NKJV 18 Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. 19 And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree withered away. 20 And when the disciples saw [it], they marveled, saying, "How did the fig tree wither away so soon?" 21 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. 22 "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

Mark 11:12-14, 20-24 NKJV 12 Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. 13 And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 In response Jesus said to it, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." And His disciples heard [it]. ... 20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away." 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. 23 "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive [them], and you will have [them].

The word say is in verse 23 four times. I believe God is presenting to you a door to a new place you’ve not been to yet. The door can only be opened by the words that are coming out of your mouth. That same door can also remain shut by the words coming out of your mouth.

I received a vision from the Lord about the fig tree he cursed. I was there to witness it but He told me He could have blessed it and it would have produced fruit immediately. The lesson he wanted me to learn was that while on the road he had a need. There was a vehicle on the side of the road that could have produced the resources he needed to meet his need but he cursed it instead of blessing it. In other words, he spoke the wrong thing, and not only did his need not get met his words also destroyed the vehicle God provide on the path he was traveling to meet his need. Now he was without the vehicle needed to meet his need.

When you are on the path called LIFE and there you have a need. You must remember God has provided a vehicle nearby that will produce the resources you need if you say to the vehicle and believe in your heart you will receive what you say.

Trees are symbolic of people. Jesus said by their fruit we would know the kind of person they were.

Matthew 7:15-20 NKJV 15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor [can] a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 "Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

But this fig tree didn’t produce any fruit, good or bad. The fig tree could also be symbolic of Jesus coming to a person to see if they have good fruit in their life and finding none Jesus says to them no one will eat fruit from you. You know why? Because the fruit that person is producing is from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

John 15:1-3 NKJV 1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every [branch] that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

Just because you may be a person who has been fruitless in Jesus don’t feel like all is lost. Yes, He said every branch in Him that does not bear fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. He also said it is taken away meaning from the position that branch was called to, but this doesn’t leave the fruitless tree without hope.

Job 14:7-9, 14-17 NKJV 7 "For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease. 8 Though its root may grow old in the earth, And its stump may die in the ground, 9 [Yet] at the scent of water it will bud And bring forth branches like a plant. ... 14 If a man dies, shall he live [again]? All the days of my hard service I will wait, Till my change comes. 15 You shall call, and I will answer You; You shall desire the work of Your hands. 16 For now You number my steps, But do not watch over my sin. 17 My transgression [is] sealed up in a bag, And You cover my iniquity.

The question you should be asking yourself is what tree have you been eating from? Because trees produce fruit containing seed that produces after its own kind.

Genesis 1:11 NKJV 11 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb [that] yields seed, [and] the fruit tree [that] yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed [is] in itself, on the earth"; and it was so.

So the question you should be asking yourself is what tree I am eating from. Let me give you a clue. It can only be one of two trees.

Genesis 2:9 NKJV 9 And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life [was] also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:15-17 NKJV 15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil produces fruit that is good and evil. Its fruit is confused and chaotic. It doesn’t know if it’s good or evil. The seed of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil produces after its own kind. It produced confusion and chaos.

The tree of life produces the fruit that’s truth that makes one wise. But not wise in the wisdom of this world. It is wisdom from above or in other words the words of righteousness.

Psalm 1:1-6 NKJV 1 Blessed [is] the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly [are] not so, But [are] like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

God never said He didn’t want Adam and Eve to understand the knowledge of good and evil. He just didn’t want them to have it by experience. He wanted them to have it by a relationship with God. He would have told them if they would have asked.

Hebrews 5:14, But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

When we eat from the tree of life we are eating the fruit call truth (aka the Bible). It produces wisdom that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil cannot override.

Luke 21:12-15 NKJV 12 "But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute [you], delivering [you] up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake. 13 "But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. 14 "Therefore settle [it] in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; 15 "for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.

You know why your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist you? Because they are eating from a different tree than you. They eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which produces confusion and chaos. You are eating from the tree of life that produces the fruit of truth. This is not the truth of this world it is the truth of God’s word. This truth is absolute and cannot be overridden.

The only way to walk in God’s truth and wisdom is to maintain a prayer life and to meditate on His Word daily. If you ask for wisdom in faith you will receive it.

James 1:5-8 NKJV 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 [he is] a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

1 Kings 3:9 NKJV 9 "Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?"

God will give you wisdom but we have to ask in prayer and by getting the word in you.

You must be mindful of your words because it’s the words that are coming out of your mouth that are going back into your innermost being and programing you for success or failure. Keep in mind the two trees in the garden bear fruit with seed in them; seed that produces after its own kind.

What is seed symbolic of? Words.

Mark 4:3-9, 13-14 NKJV 3 "Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 "And it happened, as he sowed, [that] some [seed] fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. 5 "Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. 6 "But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. 7 "And some [seed] fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. 8 "But other [seed] fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirty-fold, some sixty, and some a hundred." 9 And He said to them, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" ... 13 And He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? 14 "The sower sows the word.

You are eating the fruit of the words coming out of your mouth.

Proverbs 18:20-21 NKJV] 20 A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; [From] the produce of his lips he shall be filled. 21 Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Your stomach is your innermost being. Your stomach represents your heart which is symbolic of your soul: mind, will, and emotions. Think about it. The scripture says a man’s stomach (soul) will be filled by the words coming out of his mouth. They come out of the mouth and go into the hearing of the ears filling the innermost being…or programing the person. Whatever you are full of is going to come out under pressure.

Luke 6:45 NKJV 45 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Proverbs 4:23 NKJV 23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it [spring] the issues of life.

Proverbs 23:7 NKJV 7 For as he thinks in his heart, so [is] he. "Eat and drink!" he says to you, But his heart is not with you.

Mark 7:18-23 NKJV] 18 So He said to them, "Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, 19 "because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, [thus] purifying all foods?" 20 And He said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 "thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 "All these evil things come from within and defile a man."

Matthew 15:11 NKJV 11 "Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."

The words we speak must bring life to people, situations, and circumstances. We must be trees of life with low-hanging fruit for others to easily eat from. Your words must be words that encourage, strengthen, and empower to overcome. The thing is your words must be His word in other to strengthen others.

Ephesians 4:29-32 NKJV 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Grace? What is grace? Grace is God’s character and nature infused in and through you giving you the ability to overcome.

2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV 9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

That word strength is dynamis in Greek. It means power or in other words, it is the anointing that breaks the yoke and removes the thrones of the flesh enabling one to overcome.

1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God [is] faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear [it].

What’s the way of escape? It’s God’s grace which is His nature and character infused in and through you giving you His ability to overcome. He will not deliver you from it but He will deliver you through it until you overcome as He also overcame.

Revelation 3:21 NKJV 21 "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Since He is on His throne and with the Father on His throne let us, therefore, go to the throne! The throne of Grace.

Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV 14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all [points] tempted as [we are, yet] without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

If you have been struggling with ungodly words coming out of your mouth it could be that your prayer life is not where it needs to be and you are not in the word of God daily. If you’re not full of heaven you cannot make it on earth as it is in heaven. If you are not full of heaven then you must be full of the world and we are getting a good picture of what the world can produce today.

Do you know why it is important that you hear the Word of God coming out of your own mouth? Because it produces faith, but not just any faith. It produces faith that prevails.

Romans 10:17 NKJV 17 So then faith [comes] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Joshua 1:8-9 NKJV 8 "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God [is] with you wherever you go."

Here’s another reason why it is so important that the Book of the Law doesn’t depart from your mouth, meaning that you never stop speaking the Word of God over your life. Because when the Word of God is coming out of your mouth mixed with faith it becomes like a beam of light shooting forth out of you.

Psalm 119:105 NKJV 105 NUN. Your word [is] a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Psalm 119:165 NKJV 165 Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.

This is a powerful revelation for those who have ears to hear with! You are living the life you’ve created with your own words. That means you can change what you are saying and change your life in the process. Learning to walk in the Word and to speak the Word at all times is not easy. It takes practice and not many are willing to pay the price required to walk this walk, but those who find it find what God calls the narrow way and He says few find this way…

So here is what the Lord is saying to those who are currently struggling with speaking life over death. Repent and change the way you think and if you change the way you think you will begin to change what you are saying and this will produce resurrection power. Resurrection power will bring new life into your life. God will begin to do a new thing in you and for you.

Job 22:23-28 NKJV 23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; You will remove iniquity far from your tents. 24 Then you will lay your gold in the dust, And the [gold] of Ophir among the stones of the brooks. 25 Yes, the Almighty will be your gold And your precious silver; 26 For then you will have your delight in the Almighty, And lift up your face to God. 27 You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, And you will pay your vows. 28 You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.

Jeremiah 15:19, Therefore, this is what the LORD says: If you return, I will take you back; you will stand in my presence. And if you speak noble words, rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. Christian Standard Bible

Jeremiah 15:19, Therefore, thus says the LORD [to Jeremiah], “If you repent [and give up this mistaken attitude of despair and self-pity], then I will restore you [to a state of inner peace] So that you may stand before Me [as My obedient representative]; And if you separate the precious from the worthless [examining yourself and cleansing your heart from unwarranted doubt concerning My faithfulness], You will become My spokesman. Let the people turn to you [and learn to value My values]— But you, you must not turn to them [with regard for their idolatry and wickedness]. Amplified Bible

My prayer for you comes out of Isaiah 7.

Isaiah 7:14-16 NKJV, 14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. 15 "Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. 16 "For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings.

I believe the two kings in this passage are the king of self and the king of evil. These two kings are the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The curds and honey are symbolic of brain food that Immanuel ate giving him the wisdom to refuse evil and to only choose the good.

God said this would be the year we enter into the fruit of what He’s been laboring for us to enter into. God has been laboring for you to enter into His labors this year, but it will only come if your words are in line with His words. Heaven and earth need to be in agreement. You have a part to play.

When God put Adam in the garden to tend and keep it He didn’t give him a rake and shovel. Adam tilled the ground and tended the garden with his words. Whatever Adam said the elements obey. God has placed in you in a new garden this New Year. Maybe the previous garden you were placed in never got to produce fruit, but you are being given another opportunity to bloom. Say only what God is saying and watch your garden become fruitful.

Proverbs 12:11 NKJV 11 He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread, But he who follows frivolity [is] devoid of understanding.

Proverbs 28:19 NKJV 19 He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, But he who follows frivolity will have poverty enough!

Repeat this prayer after me and then I will pray for you.

Father, cleanse me from every evil word I have spoken that brought defilement into my life and the life of others. I confess all sin, iniquity, and transgressions I have committed with my words, thoughts, and deeds. Purge my tongue and mouth of sin and iniquity. Let me overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony. I give you all the glory, honor, and praise! In Yeshua’s mighty and matchless name! Amen!

Receive this blessing:

The Lord bless you and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.
